How to qualify:

Must have a Bachelors degree in Paramedicine, Paramedical Science or Nursing with Graduate Certificate in Paramedicine.

Must be an Australian Citizen.

Must be willing to commit to a minimum 2 year contract.

AHPRA registration preferred.
-
Clear criminal history and driving record.

What is the training like?

You will meet with your cohort weekly for check-in's and assessment tests for the 2 months leading up to your arrival.

FREE 6 week paid training in San Diego, California.

Field training done at your place of employment.

Learn from seasoned paramedics/flight medics who will prepare your for the expanded scope of practice.

How the process works

Submit your application, which will be reviewed by AEMS.

Your information will then go to IMS where they will set up an information session to discuss location options and timelines.

Next step: Interview with your chosen employer. Once job offer is made, IMS will start the visa process and identify your in-take date.

Remote learning/travel planning will commence 2 months before start date.

Travel to the USA for 6 weeks of paid training in San Diego.

Travel to employer location for final field training, then NREMT exam.
