Australia EMS travel around the world to compete in high fidelity international EMS competitions. There are many competitions available across the globe with most countries represented. We have been privileged to compete against some of the best paramedic teams, make new friends & learn so much from our international colleagues.
We network & collaborate with paramedics, physicians, EMS leaders & bring back the knowledge we have gained to Australia for the benefit of Australians. Our travels have taken us to the most remarkable places, & aside from the strong clinical focus, we have also made life long friends.
Having won world class competitions in the USA, Europe & Asia, Australia EMS are rated amongst the best paramedic teams in the world.
The original Team Aussie won the inaugral JEMS Games at the EMS Today Conference in the USA in 2005. This really put Australian paramedics on the world stage to be respected amongst the best in the world.
Australia EMS then went on to win the Asia Pacific Professional Rescuer Competition against international teams in Singapore in 2012. This was a tough competition - the teams were outstanding, & the standard extremely high.
Australia EMS travelled to Europe in 2013 for their greatest challenge, the world class Rallye Rejviz competition where they underwent a gruelling series of scenarios against 22 international teams from 16 countries. Team Australia EMS won the competition against top paramedic teams from Bosnia & Hertzegovina, Czechia, Japan, Canada, Cyprus, Lithuania, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Romania, Greece, Slovakia & Slovenia.
Australia EMS went on to be invited international judges at the JEMS Games, at the EMS Today Conference in the USA from 2014 to 2019.
Australia EMS have partnered with Ferno Australia to present FernoSim & Student Fernosim each year. The leading & largest EMS / Paramedic Simulation Challenge in the Southern Hemisphere. This challenge is a must on the paramedic simulation calendar & attracts elite paramedic teams from around the world.
